Past Chairperson
LUIS FOLGAR
is the Engineering R&D Manager in Advanced Manufacturing at Paramount Industries Inc. He holds a B.S. in Materials Science Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Masters in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University. He is an active member of the Center for High Performance Manufacturing formed by Virginia Tech and James Madison University. He is the recipient of the 3DSUG Selective Laser Sintering Excellence Award in 2006 and 2009. Mr. Folgar works closely as a volunteer with multiple technical communities including SME and the RTAM technical communities as Chair of the Material Processes and Standards Tech Group, ASTM International, and as chair of the 3DS Users Group (3DSUG).
